MEIOSIS II |
|
This animation follows the second part of the overhead for Meiosis. In Meiosis II individual chromosomes are now pulled apart and randomly separated into the two daughter cells. The end result of Meiosis I and II is a random assortment of genes from each chromosome pair in the somatic cell. Each cell has one of each chromosome from the "normal" 2C starting cell. [In this example each cell gets one long and one short chromosome] Next see also Meiosis I |
